The Cracks in the Mirror: Why Our Current Thinking Isn't Healing Anything
If we want to understand the real knowledge of longevity and sustainability, we have only to look at our planet, and to look within...
Ever feel like we're trying to fix a broken vase with the same hammer that shattered it in the first place?
I know that feeling intimately. We look around at the state of our own hearts, our communities, our planet, and there's a pervasive sense of… fragmentation. Little pieces scattered everywhere: anxiety here, environmental crisis there, political division over yonder. We try to glue them back together with the same old thinking, the same frantic energy that helped break them apart.
Einstein was spot on, wasn’t he?
"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."
Ok, I paraphrase, but think about it:
We’re trying to solve ecological disasters with economic models that prioritize endless growth.
We’re trying to heal personal trauma with the same self-critical voices that caused it.
It’s like trying to speak a new language using only the vocabulary of the old one – you’ll get stuck in the same patterns, the same limited expressions.
And here's the kicker: we're constantly bombarded by voices – from the news, from leaders, from social media – often steeped in that same old paradigm.
Short-term gains, power plays, and an economic lens that often reduces everything to dollars & cents. Don't get me wrong, some of these folks have good intentions, but they're operating within a system, a level of thinking, that fundamentally isn't designed for long-term, holistic healing. We need to use SENSE, not cents (ha, see what I did there?)!
Think about the planet for a moment.
The ancient wisdom held in the deep time of rocks and glaciers, the intricate dance of ecosystems that have thrived for millennia – that's where the real knowledge of longevity and sustainability lies. It’s not in the quarterly reports or the next election cycle. Life itself, in its myriad forms, has an innate connection to what works, what lasts.
So, how do we tap into that kind of wisdom?
How do we shift our thinking to a level that can actually mend the cracks in the mirror?
That’s where the magic of Voice Energetics comes in, and begins to whisper its secrets.
Stay tuned, because in the next few posts, I’m going to explain more about what it is, and why joining the movement that is Voice Energetics, is nothing less than evolution of consciousness at work!

Hi Stacie,
Your words resonate deeply, we can’t mend what’s broken with the same noise that shattered it, it takes stillness, sound, and a different kind of listening,
in quiet strength and sound,

From your post: "We’re trying to solve ecological disasters with economic models that prioritize endless growth."
I couldn't agree more. I would like to see growth within the "reuse" economic model. We already have more "new" products and food that we can consume. However, one-third of all food produced is wasted.
